Gift Of Love 2021

Gift of Love is Serve Our City (SOC)’s yearly Christmas gift hamper donation drive, benefiting our Serve Our City community partners:

  • Families – Fei Yue Family Service Centre and PA Bendemeer
  • Migrant Workers
  • Seniors – Lions Befrienders and cardboard box collectors @ Bendemeer
  • Special Needs – Red Cross Home for the Disabled

With your help, we are looking to bring a total of 400 gift hampers worth ~$50 each to them and some cheer to their homes this Christmas season!

You can join us by being a:

SPONSOR | We are looking for people to sponsor the grocery hampers and will be accepting donations in $30, $50 or any amount you want to give.

VOLUNTEER | We are looking for extra muscles and smiles to pack and distribute the hampers our programme partners in bringing cheer to our beneficiaries on these dates:

PACKING
28 November, Sunday || 2pm – 4pm @ CT Hub
Packing and drop-offs of gift hampers for the various community groups

SPECIAL NEEDS
4 December, Saturday || 2pm – 4pm @ 8 Lengkok Bahru, Level 5 MPH
We will be distributing gift hampers to staff and residents, along with a mini Christmas celebration for the Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD).

**Due to the vulnerability of our residents staying in the home, volunteers for this event will need to:
1. Show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
2. Take an ART and show negative results prior to entry (ART provided by RCHD).

SENIORS
11 December, Saturday || 10am – 12pm @ 32 Bendemeer Road
We will be distributing gift hampers to our seniors staying in Bendemeer! Lend some of your muscle power and bring some cheer! (Specific time slots will be given to volunteers)

FAMILIES
18 December, Saturday || 9am – 1pm @ Bendemeer, Choa Chu Kang
We will be distributing gift hampers to support family fitness to our beneficiary Families in Bendemeer and Yew Tee along with Christmas cheer! (Specific time slots will be given to volunteers)

**Volunteers for this event will need to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

NOTE FOR ALL EVENTS:

In compliance with existing Safe Management Measures, there will be limits to the number of volunteers we can have at each event. We seek your kind understanding in advance. Volunteer slots will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, and you will be informed within 5 working days of your confirmed participation in the event. Registrants who do not fit within the volunteer number limits will also be informed.

Compulsory Online Volunteer Briefings will be conducted prior to all Distribution events.
