As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him. It’s easy to get caught up with all the promises and blessings God extends to us. Even easier to slip into the thought that because of His good nature, God owes us. But the one thing that will get you through the disappointments of life is the one thing that is hardest to come to terms with – the fact that God is sovereign.
