Gift of Love is Serve Our City (SOC)’s yearly Christmas gift hamper donation drive, benefiting our Serve Our City community partners:

• Families - Fei Yue Family Service Centre
• Migrant Workers
• Seniors - Lions Befrienders
• People with Special Needs - Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD)

With your help, we are looking to bring a total of 358 gift hampers and some cheer to them this Christmas season!

You can join us by being a:

SPONSOR | We are looking for people to sponsor the gift hampers (each valued at $50 on average) and will be accepting donations in $50 or any amount you want to give.

*Different gifts will be given to each group depending on their needs.

VOLUNTEER | We are looking for
(a) friendly faces to bring cheer to our beneficiaries at various events, as well as helping hands to pack and distribute the hampers.
(b) talents to perform at our Christmas parties with our Seniors and our Migrant Workers. If you and your family or friends are game to perform, sing or dance, please reach out to us!

EVENT DETAILS:

(1) FAMILIES (Closed)
30 November, Saturday || 2.30pm - 6.30pm @ Fei Yue Family Service Center (Yew Tee)

We will be a part of a Christmas Carnival and Grocery Distribution event at the Family Service Centre to spread some cheer! Beneficiaries will come by the centre to select their groceries of choice, as well as to play fun carnival games! These are the 2 shift timings:

Shift 1: 2.30 pm to 4.30pm
Shift 2: 4.30pm to 6.30pm

Looking for 30 volunteers to:
- Man carnival booths
- Distribute grocery items at centre

(2) MIGRANT WORKERS
1 December, Sunday || 2.30pm - 6.30pm @ ENCS Office, Hall A

We will be packing and distributing gift hampers to our Migrant Workers, along with a Christmas dinner and celebration for our Migrant Workers. Volunteers will engage our migrant friends at the table, and encourage them to participate in the activities. We are also looking for volunteers who would like to put up a performance for our migrant workers, whether a song item, magic show or dance performance!

Looking for 20 volunteers to:
- Pack gift hampers;
- Engage our MWs at the table and join in the games.
- (BONUS) Unleash your talents and join the volunteer performance!

(3) SPECIAL NEEDS
7 December, Saturday || 2pm - 4pm @ 8 Lengkok Bahru, Level 5 MPH

We will be distributing gift hampers to staff and residents, along with a Christmas celebration for the Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD).

**Due to the vulnerability of our residents staying in the home, volunteers for this event will need to wear a mask.

Looking for 30 volunteers to::
- Distribute gift hampers
- Sing Christmas Carols and facilitate games

(4) SENIORS
7 December, Saturday || 2pm - 5pm @ ENCS Office, Hall A

This year’s Gift of Love Seniors event is a collaboration with our Every Nation Campus youths! We will be packing and distributing gift hampers to our seniors, along with a Christmas tea and celebration for our seniors. Volunteers will engage seniors at the table, and encourage them to participate in the activities. No further volunteers are needed for this event.

NOTE FOR ALL EVENTS:

You will be informed within 5 working days of your confirmed participation in the event. Registrants who do not fit within the volunteer number limits will also be informed.
